Enviro-Cool is a family-owned and operated business, located in the heartland of America in Dixon, Missouri. And while we’ve supplied customers all over the world, we still treat every one of them like they’re our first customer.
George R. Sturmon, Founder
George Sturmon is the Founder of Enviro-Cool and inventor of the Air Management System and Enviro-Cool Filter. He has also received more than 30 patents from the United States and many countries around the world, including China.
In 1984, George began working on developing new products for his company, ATRO Engineered Systems. He developed several patents for heavy duty vehicle suspensions and internal combustion engine cooling systems. To date, His products have been in use on the U.S. Army's M-1000 HET Tank Carrier since its inception in 1989 and more than 60,000 have been successfully used on this vehicle. In addition, all the body mounts for the armored Humvee REV1 are being supplied by George’s company.
George received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri in 1959. After a year in the aerospace industry, he returned to the University for post graduate studies as a research assistant, receiving his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
George’s MSME thesis, in the field of combustion heat transfer, was published in the Journal of Applied Chemistry, London, England and by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Over the years, he has had several papers published.
In 1962, George passed the Professional Engineers exams in Missouri and later gained his Professional Engineering license in Illinois.
Leslie Sturmon-Brock CEO, Enviro-Cool, Inc.
An expert in the field of heavy duty truck suspensions, Leslie and her family founded and developed one of the most unique manufacturing companies in the United States, ATRO Engineered Systems. A company specializing in aftermarket truck and trailer component parts.
For more than 20 years she learned the many aspects of the family business, from working in the plant mixing chemicals to designing marketing and promotional pieces and then on to sales.
By 1991 she had worked her way up to National Sales Manager, establishing a national sales force, traveling the country and putting an effective distribution network in place. A few years later she was promoted to Vice-President of Marketing and Sales.
Leslie received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri in 1988.
